Advertising & Design – the ideas and the craft
“If the brief is a biggie and I need extra brains or hands, I make a few calls and get them on board for the project, simple as that. I’ve had 25 years in this business and know some great creatives.” Neil Simpson, Sounds & Pictures.
Sounds & Pictures offers advertising & design solutions for any sized project. Small projects have one point of contact and that’s who will be doing the job. Larger projects may have outsourced specialists brought in due to timing and manageability but will be the same one person you have contact with.
The Sounds & Pictures Creative Director has vast experience in the advertising industry with global and local clients both here in the UK and internationally. Find out more about his career history at his Creative Director site.
No matter what size project, there is a basic process to how we would work together with you:
1. The Problem
You tell us what it is that you need help with. It may be that you have a new company and need to give it some corporate identity and create a supporting integrated communications campaign. It could be that you just want a simple poster designed and printed. Whatever it is, we discuss our options and confirm we are the right fit for the job.
2. The Brief
We ask you to put together a brief for us to work to. This could be either written or verbal depending how big the job but in either case it would explain your background, what the challenge is, if there are any mandatories and of course, the budget and deadline.
3. The Ideas
We then spend some agreed time on coming up with ideas which will be presented back to you in a ‘first review’. A review could be sending through a PDF for you to view or a presentation in person. The amount of reviews and number of ideas explored will be agreed in the brief until we have the solution that excites you.
4. Production
When the idea is finalised and agreed it will then go into production. This is the process of preparing the concept ready for final upload, print or broadcast.
5. Sign off
The work is finally checked very carefully by us and yourself and then signed off, meaning it is ready to go to print etc.
6. Delivery
The idea is great, it looks good, sounds good, everyone is happy and now it is finally out there doing what it’s good at – being effective!
